Pregnancy – First Trimester
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
We usually see women through the first trimester for the following reasons:
- Helping prevent miscarriage
- Helping alleviate morning sickness
- Fatigue
Mayan Abdominal Massage (MAM)
No MAM is recommended in the first trimester, but Basic Prenatal Massage is available after 8 weeks of pregnancy.
Mind / Body Therapy
Clients have the opportunity to continue their mind/body therapy throughout their pregnancy. During the first trimester, the focus is on having a healthy and relaxing pregnancy. Weekly relaxations and visualizations help the pregnant mother feel more confident and empowered through the first months as well as promote pre-natal bonding with their babies. Anxieties are addressed and clients learn how to release unhealthy thoughts and focus on more positive images.
